Dr. Gentry is the owner and director of Growing Minds Learning Center LLC. Mia has been in childcare since 2004. She is a graduate of Spartanburg Community College where she earned has obtained a Certificate in Early Care and Education and an AA of Science. Mrs. Gentry earned her Doctorate in Theology in 2021. She spent 2 years at the University of Phoenix, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services. 

She was selected as an ABC Childcare Hero during the Covid 19 pandemic for the excellent service provided to the families in her community. Mrs. Gentry believes in advocating for children and uses her voice as the community lead for Save The Children Action Network. She is also a member of The South Carolina Infant Mental Health Association and a member of The International Society of Female Professionals. Most importantly, Mrs. Gentry loves God with all of her heart and everything she does flows from her desire to please him.
